Fourth student scholarship awarded

The fifth Vale for Africa Student scholarship has been offered

The scholarship enables a student from Tororo to come to Wales for two years to study at the world renowned Atlantic College, St Donats.

The student is chosen after a selection process which takes place in Uganda.

The first three students, Batholomew, Isaac and Jackline have all gone to study at Universities in America.

Patrick, the fourth student, is currently preparing for exams and has offers from several universities in the States. Vale for Africa help fund flights, a laptop, a mobile phone, spending money and some warm clothes.

Our fifth student scholarship welcomes Josephine in September 2019. 

Vale for Africa Chair Gareth Kiddie said: ‘We are unique among Wales Africa projects in being able to provide this kind of support for a student from our link community. We place great value on it.
