Jane Hutt AM, spent part of her childhood in Uganda and Kenya, and is a founder member of Vale for Africa. Jane was elected as the first Assembly Member (AM) for the Vale of Glamorgan in 1999, and she has held various ministerial posts in the Welsh Government throughout her tenure as AM. Jane was the first national Co-ordinator of Welsh Women's Aid, helped found the South Glamorgan Women's Workshop, was the first director of the Tenant Participatory Advisory Service (TPAS) and of Chwarae Teg (Fair Play). Jane is the author of two books and is an honorary  fellow of UWIC.
