Water Pipe at Pomede School

On the 6th January, water was given to the Pomede School. The handover was enacted by Rotarian Betty Onyango, Betty is an alumni of the school and was thrilled to take part in the handover. Betty's colleague Rotarian was Dennis Okathch and he was also present at the handover. The guest of Honour was the Minister of State for Primary Health Care Hon. Sarah Achieng. Furthermore, the headteacher and chair of the school promised to safeguard the water pipe and to ensure its proper use. The headteacher also reported that now there were; increased pupils at the school, improved health due to availability of safe drinking water and the establishment of accommodation for final year pupils.  The local school district has expressed gratitude to Cowbridge and Vale for the support to the schools.
