Library and School Updates

The number of books within the Tororo District Library is now just over 3,100! This has had a knock-on effect in the Primary Leaving Examinations, which have shown an improvement from students in the Library's catchment area.

However, Tororo still remains in the bottom quartile of Uganda's Primary School League table, so more work is needed to pull up the performance.

The 21 child who benefitted from SAFE's education grant are still in school. Two of the highest achieveing students are Cecilia Nyechwo; who has Osteomyelitis (bone infection) and Karoli Obbo; who lost both of his parents at an early age.
